The Canine Training Association (CTA) was formed in 1950 as a non-profit organization in the State of Maryland. The principal goal of the association is to teach dog owners how to train their dogs to become well-mannered members of their households and communities. The first step in this effort is through the Basic or Puppy classes. Further training in the advanced levels will prepare trainers and dogs for various competitive events.
